Gin Mare

About 18 months ago one of our customers, Andrew K., told us about a gin that was distilled with herbs and olives. I didn’t want to believe it because it was one of those: “Why didn’t I think of that?” moments. Andrew returned a few days later with the bottle in tow and poured us a sample. We were in LOVE. Arbequina olives, brine, rosemary, basil, thyme and juniper... What’s not to love? There’s also cardamom and citrus peel added to the botanical mix but they’re not as prominent as the olives. We introduced one of our reps to the gin and they were hooked as well. So for the past 18 months I’ve been annoying them every week with the question “When’s Gin Mare coming in!” I’ve also been telling tons of people about this fantastic gin and it has FINALLY arrived, and you can get it only here right now!

For martini fans who like their martinis undiluted, finally a gin you’ll want to keep in the freezer. You’ll definitely feel like you’re enjoying your martini while sitting at a beachside resort in the Mediterranean. Gin Mare also mixes very well with good tonic water (there’s better choices than the .99¢ chemically mass-marketed stuff.) When you do mix it with tonic, try adding Thai basil leaves for an added aromatic kick.

For me, the stand-out flavors of this gin are the olive and rosemary. No, the olive and thyme. Wait a minute, with this sip it’s the olive and basil. Ok, I’ve got to stop drinking while I type... Nevermind I’ll stop typing and continue drinking! Stop in soon and pick up a bottle of Gin Mare; trust me you’re gonna love it.

Oh, and thank you Andrew K.!
